Tingling

Tingling

Tingling can be associated with a wide variety of medical conditions, including prolonged pressure on a nerve, vitamin or mineral deficiency, multiple sclerosis, stroke, Bell's palsy, Carpal tunnel syndrome, Diabetes, Herpes infections, Pernicious anemia, Raynaud's disease, Spinal cord disorders and Toxicity. Tingling can be mild and can result from simple pressure on a nerve, such as when your foot or leg falls asleep when you are seated in the same position for a long time.

Treatment

Tingling can also be a symptom of more serious permanent nerve damage or underlying disease. Therefore, it is important to identify the cause of any unexplained or unusual tingling. If you develop unexplained tingling sensations, particularly with other symptoms such as weakness and fatigue, see your doctor at once.
